Christine Cave, Esq., SPHR

Christine Cave, Esq., SPHR, brings a fresh approach to the legal issues facing employers. As a long-time small business owner and frequent volunteer on non-profit boards, she understands the very real challenges facing these populations, including the potential devastation that would result from even a frivolous claim by an employee. Consequently, she dedicates her time to helping small businesses and non-profits understand the risk of employment litigation and advising them how to minimize that risk.

Examples of the services she provides include:

  • Representing employers in proceedings brought by employees before the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Department of Labor, and state and federal courts.

  • Advising management on how to handle employment-related concerns in the workplace.

  • Conducting audits, investigations, and training on employment practices and compliance issues.

  • Working with federal contractors to develop and implement affirmative action plans, and implement policies and practices designed to capture the information needed for compliance with a myriad of federal regulations.

Christine has received numerous awards and honors for her work and commitment to the legal field. She was recently named as one of Oklahoma’s Achievers Under 40 (Class V 2008). She also has been recognized by the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Journal Record for her leadership in law. Christine also was a contributing author to the Rules of Civil Procedure: Rules and Commentary (Thomson-West 2007-2009).

She is the Chairperson of the Oklahoma Bar Association Labor & Employment Section and has served in various other leadership roles in the legal comunity including Young Lawyers Chair of the Federal Bar Association’s Oklahoma City chapter, former director of the Oklahoma County Bar Associations’ Young Lawyers Division, past chair of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Divisions’ Mock Trial Committee, and as an appointed member of the local Civil Rule Committee for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
